All-Ireland Basketball Champions – Pics

All-Ireland Champions
Well done to the 1st Year Basketball team on being crowned All Ireland Champions today. They played Kanturk in Cork in a close fought semi final with the girls powering ahead in the last quarter to take the win 47-36. The team progressed to the final playing Listowel, Kerry. The girls left nothing behind them. The fast breaks, drives to the basket, incredible steals and hard work off the ball brought the title home to Eureka with a 39-33 win.
Well done to all 25 players on an incredible season, led by their captains Cara Costello and Lucy Golden. Thank you to the TY helpers and Mr. Cornally and Ms. O’Reilly who gave up their time over the past 2 weeks to help with hosting of playoffs for both 1st and 2nd years and travelling to the finals today. And thank you to the wonderful supporters who raised the roof today. And last but not least thanks to the superb coach: Mrs. Wright.
