Meath Schools Athletics Championships 2023
Congratulations to all our athletes who competed in the first Meath schools athletics championship since COVID. It took place today in the Claremont Stadium. A great day was had by all, especially the many athletes who came home with silverware. Well done, everyone. Thanks also to the teacher, Ms. Mimnagh.
Leinster Cross Country Finals 2016-17

Well done to our athletes who competed in the Leinster Cross Country Finals today in Santry. A special congratulations to Kate Mc Crystal, who narrowly missed out on a place in the All-Ireland finals, coming 19th overall. Well done, girls.

Congratulations to Laura Cunningham, who won the Junior hammer and to Kate Mc Crystal, who came 2nd in the Minor 1500m. Both girls have qualified for the Leinster Finals in May.

First Years 3km Fun run

All the 1st year students completed a 3km fun run today from the Cross of Kells to Headford Bridge and back. Well done to everyone for completing the run. Congratulations to the following girls who were top finishers.

North Leinster Track & Field Championships 2015
North Leinster Track & Field Championships 2014
A massive well done to all the girls who represented the school at the North Leinster ‘Track and Field championships’ which took place in Morton stadium in Santry on Wednesday 30th of April. The 23 strong squad lined out over 14 events with the aim of qualifying for the upcoming provincial championships. In the stiff competition Eureka Secondary School put in some outstanding performances claiming a total of 2 gold 3 silver and 1 bronze medals. Best of luck to the following girls who will progress to the Leinster Championships which will take place on May 14th: Rose Finnegan, Niamh O’Kelly Lynch, Mollie Fitzgerald, Eimear O’Neil and Sarah Armstrong. Geraldine Dolan Memorial Cross Country Meet Tuesday, October 9th 2012
Over 100 students took part in the events. In the minor (U.14) 1000m event first year, Eimear Corcoran was the school’s best representative, finishing in 6th position. The minor team made up of Eimear Corcoran, Rebecca Warren, Ellen Rooney and Rebecca O’Reilly was rewarded for their efforts, finishing third in the team event. The junior (U.15) 1000m was next, where 2nd year Rose Finnegan impressed by claiming 1st place, closely followed by classmate Eimear O’Neill in 3rd place. Melissa Anderson and Ciara O’Neill also finished strongly, which ensured that the Eureka team finished second in the team event. In the 1500m Intermediate event, the athlete Sarah Armstrong finished in 1st position and left her competitors fighting for second.

School’s All-Ireland Cross Country 2012
The School’s All-Ireland cross country took place in St Mary’s College, Galway, on Saturday. The school came second in the Junior girls All Ireland Cross Country, receiving Silver Medals. The full team was: Rose Finnegan, Laoise Fleming, Eimear O’Neill, Ellen Rooney, Rebecca Warren and Rebecca O’Reilly.


Congratulations to the students who won the Leinster Schools U14 Cross Country in Santry on the 8th of February. They will compete in the Schools All-Ireland in Galway on the 10th of March.

On Wednesday, the 16th of November, the school competed in the Meath cross country. We were very successful and won the minor and junior team events. At the minor level, Rose Finnegan, Laoise Fleming and Eimear O’Neill came in first, second and third, respectively. At junior level, Sarah Armstrong finished in third position, and Emma Fuller, Megan O’Kelly and Catherine Brady were close behind for the team medals. Congratulations to all involved.
